Terms & Conditions
The rules for institutions, administrators and alumni using the platform.
1. The service
My Universe is a multi-tenant alumni platform operated by SG PR Infotech LLP. Each institution occupies its own tenant space with its own branding, membership rules, content and administrators.
2. Listing an institution
Anyone may add or import an institution as an unclaimed listing. A listing carries no ownership, exclusivity or administrative rights until it is claimed and approved.
3. Claiming and admin rights
To gain admin control, a claimant must be an office bearer or an authorised volunteer of the institution or its alumni association, and must submit proof — an official letter, institutional email domain, or association resolution. Platform review is final; approved claimants receive owner rights and may appoint further admins.
4. Administrator responsibilities
Admins are responsible for the accuracy of member records, lawful collection of alumni data, moderation of user content, honouring deletion and correction requests, and using only their own verified sending domain for email. Misuse — spam, harvesting, unauthorised commercial use of the directory — leads to suspension of the tenant.
5. Subscriptions (SaaS)
Institutions subscribe to a plan billed per tenant. Plan limits govern member count, admin seats, email volume, store and campaign features. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes and are non-refundable for the period consumed. Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing cycle; data remains readable in a restricted state for 60 days after lapse.
6. Payments, donations and orders
Donations and store payments are collected through the institution's linked payment account (Razorpay / Stripe). Settlement, refunds, receipts, tax exemption certificates and fulfilment of merchandise are the institution's responsibility. The platform records transactions and provides reconciliation views.
7. Member conduct
No impersonation, no false membership claims, no harassment, no uploading of content you do not own. Membership can be revoked by the institution's admins.
8. Availability and liability
The service is provided on a best-effort basis without warranty of uninterrupted availability. Liability is limited to the subscription fees paid for the three months preceding a claim.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are notified to institution owners by email at least 14 days in advance.
